On his tour through the historic old town, master brewer Michael invites you to taste beer in various restaurants. From Pilsner to unfiltered Zwickel beer to dark Bock, he presents specialities from the local brewery. He has many stories to tell about Freiberg's traditional brewing. Freiberg Bock beer brandy recently received an award and you get the chance to taste it from small cups of Freiberg porcelain during the tour. Afterwards, you can enjoy a typical "beer maltster's platter" in the brewery restaurant "Brauhof".

Last but not least, each guest receives the "Freiberg Beer Diploma", with which he or she can prove to be a profound connoisseur of Freiberg's barley juice.

Follow in the footsteps of the miners who used to come down from their shift in the dark, having previously dug for silver ore in the dark. The new Freiberg Brewery, built in 1996 to replace the old brewery in the heart of the mining town, employs over 170 people and ensures that the source of Saxon brewing never runs dry. The 800-year-old tradition of Freiberg's art of brewing has been preserved to this day. Learn about the journey of fresh Freiberg Pils from raw material to finished product on an entertaining and informative tour. During the one-hour tour, look over the brewmaster's shoulder, take a look at the brewhouse, the filtration and the bottling line. And directly after the tour, you can then enjoy the different varieties of Freiberger beer and will be surprised by the wide range of products.

Discover the Silver City and its most beautiful corners on various guided tours through and around Freiberg. The Segways can easily cover several metres in altitude and longer distances.

Different routes can be chosen for a city tour with the Segway. The tour glides easily through the old town past the most important sights, such as Freiberg's Cathedral of St. Mary and Freudenstein Castle.
