A unique experience through centuries of mining and history in extraordinary 4 days
Programme proposal
Day 1 - Thursday
Welcome at the hotel with the miner's welcome drink. You should take the time for a city tour through the romantic old town with its magnificent homes as well as narrow, winding streets. In the evening there will be a hearty Saxon delicious roast!
Day 2 - Friday
Start your day with a balanced breakfast. Afterwards you will already go to the "underground" Freiberg, 150 m deep, to the "Reiche Zeche", the most important silver mine in Saxony.
A very special experience will be the visit of the largest and most beautiful mineral exhibition in the world, the terra mineralia in the Freudenstein Castle. Your eyes will sparkle like emeralds with excitement. In the evening, the popular large Ore Mountain buffet awaits you.
Day 3 - Saturday
After breakfast we recommend a full-day excursion to Meissen and Dresden - or a round trip through the beautiful Ore Mountains (including Annaberg-Buchholz and Seiffen).
Day 4 - Sunday
After breakfast it's time to say goodbye, but not without a guided tour of Freiberg's Cathedral of St. Mary in Freiberg with playing on the world-famous Silbermann organ.
We recommend
3 nights in a double room with half board (three-course menu) in one of our comfort hotels in the heart of the city
Guided tour in the Freiberg silver mine (1.5h)
Visit of the terra mineralia
Guided tour in Freiberg's Cathedral of St. Mary
